this is the job
The role reports directly into the Head of Communications. You will be leading the creative process (across in-house and outsourced creative resource) to create beautiful, brand-enhancing marketing campaigns; building sales across all our stores and communicating our pillars of health, value and sustainability across all customer touchpoints and channels with attitude, creativity and impact. You will work closely with the digital team who will convert content and amplify campaign creative for online.
Leading a small, dynamic creative team to deliver remarkable campaigns in stores and online, with content and creative that builds the brand and can be leveraged online
Work with agency partners and internal stakeholders to help define our social media marketing, content & PR strategy and execute content creation via the team and partners as necessary
Briefing campaigns and creative into in-house and out-sourced partners, including photographers, videographers and animators for digital totem creative. Source new partners as necessary.
Work with the creative team and key partners to ensure digital totems display dynamic, brand-building creative that catches people’s attention, drives footfall and builds sales
Input during food development meetings to ensure bentos of the month can be turned into shareable campaigns that create a buzz and enhance the brand online and offline
Management of PR agency to drive regular, ongoing product placements in key target publications and develop a PR strategy for the ongoing brand building of itsu – one that brings to life our ‘eat beautiful’ mission and drives top of mind awareness.
Be a brand guardian, protecting our brand identity and how it is cascaded through all our communication channels, including packaging – and ensuring simplicity is revered in everything we do.

Passionate about brands, innovation and all forms of customer communication
A great feel for marketing and comms today including the role of social channels
Dynamic, collaborative and agile – and able to get stuck in from day one!
Able to quickly shift gears from tactical to strategic
Willing to be hands on in a very lean organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good copywriting skills
Experience in communicating and influencing at all levels of an organization
Experience in managing, leading and upskilling a team
Experience in managing a PR agency
